Lady Cats take 2nd at Celina
The Whitesboro girls cross country team came in second last week at the Celina Invitational at Old Celina Park.
Whitesboro was named runner-up with 105 points.
Brylee Weddle led the pack with a time of 12:35.22 to finish 10th.
Nya Degraffenreed was 13th in 12:43.06.
Paisley Blevins was 23rd in 13:03.68.
Aubrey Beam finished 29th in 13:19.90.
Karen Melchor was 32nd in 13:22.56.
Tammy Lopez was 34th in 13:23.78.
Jasmin Hernandez was 59th in 13:56.24.
Locally, Tioga’s Jillian Rodriguez was 67th in 14:04.50.
Tioga was 18th with 493 points.
Jaxsen McBride led the Bearcats with a time of 17:59.21 to place 31st.
Zander Brannan was 75th in 18:59.29.
Chase Timulson was 96th in 19:19.84.
Jayden Jobert was 104th in 19:27.37.

Alexis Santoyo-Pina led Tioga with 17:47.40 to finish 23rd.
Dominique Oranday was 32nd in 18:02.56.

Koli Goree finished 183rd in 24:18.88.
Killian Pyle was right behind in 25:06.91.

Collinsville crushes Coleman
The Collinsville Pirates closed out their non-district schedule Friday with a 44-20 win over the Coleman Blue Cats at Breckenridge.
Paxton Davidson went 21-of-27 passing for 278 yards and four touchdowns.
He also ran four times for 61 yards.
Chase Sheppard had 10 carries for 72 yards and two TDs.
He also had three catches for 55 yards and score.
Chad Davidson had three catches for 86 yards and two scores.
Jaxon Spivey had eight catches for 62 yards and a TD.
Landry Spivey had four catches for 56 yards.
The win took Collinsville to 4-1 on the year.
They have a bye tonight and open District 8-2A (II) play at home against Chico on Oct. 10.
Tioga thrashes Trenton
The Tioga Bulldogs made a statement when they opened district play at home Friday night with a 72-0 shutout of Trenton.
Greeley McAden went 23-of-25 passing for 481 yards and eight touchdowns.
He also ran for a TD.
The Bulldogs led 65-0 at halftime.
Jaxson Hurst had five catches for 144 yards and three touchdowns.
Jonathan Hernandez had three catches for 108 yards and two scores.
Hayden Roberts had five catches for 90 yards and a TD.
Jake David and Quesyn Arrington both had touchdown catches.
Graham Arnold found paydirt on the ground.
The win took Tioga to 2-2 on the year and 1-0 in district play.
They travel to Tom Bean tonight.
Rams fall to Howe in district opener
The S&S Rams opened district play Friday with a 62-21 road loss to the Howe Bulldogs.
Hunter Courville went 8-of-23 passing for 72 yards and three touchdowns.
He also ran 13 times for 79 yards and had a 40-yard reception.
Joe Orr had four catches for 49 yards and a TD.
Zade Zellars rushed three times for 49 yards.
The loss took S&S to 2-2 on the year and 0-1 in district play.
They will host Blue Ridge tonight.
The Bulldogs had 611 yards of total offense. Of that, 558 came on the ground.
Pirates run at Stillwater
The Collinsville Pirate cross country team finished 41st last week in the Large School Boys Division at the Cowboy Jamboree at Oklahoma State.
Isaiah Smith led the effort with a time of 18:21.3 to place 192nd.
Fernando Perez was 259th in 18:51.5.
Noah Smith was 295th in 19:09.9.
Isaac Dewey was 328th with a time of 19:31.4.
Jose Ramirez placed 334th in 19:33.8.
Jayden Hernandez was 365th in 19:54.2.
Tanner Frisco was 375th at 20:02.9.
Austin Caldwell was 394th in 20:27.5.
Ranger Robinson was 396th in 20:30.6.
Chad Davidson was 407th in 20:46.8.
Lady Cats sweep VV
The Whitesboro Lady Bearcat volleyball team swept Valley View 25-17, 25-11, 25-12 Friday at home in district play.
The win took Whitesboro to 23-12 on the year and 2-3 in district play.
They hosted Callisburg Tuesday night.

Lady Rams rout Howe
The S&S Lady Ram volleyball team picked up their first district win of the season Friday night when they beat Howe in five sets 25-19, 22-25, 22-25, 25-17, 17-15 on the road.
Emily Bullard led the attack with 17 kills.
Brady Clark had 14 kills and three blocks.
Brooklyn Sterling had 14 kills and 15 digs.
Lana Walters had 38 digs.
Rylee Garrison offered 38 assists and three aces.
The win took S&S to 18-16 on the year and 1-5 in district play.
They had a bye on Tuesday and face Leonard on Friday.
Collinsville tops Trenton
The Collinsville Lady Pirate volleyball team moved to 2-0 in district play with a 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19 win over Trenton Friday night on the road.
Jaydee Matlock led the attack with 13 kills and eight aces.
Kendall Brandewie had 12 kills.
Ashleigh Ortowski had seven kills.
Ali Patterson offered five kills.
Paige Davidson had 34 assists and 11 digs.
Reese Patterson and Reece Elvington each had seven digs.
The win took Collinsville to 21-9 on the year.
They hosted Whitewright Tuesday night.

Lady Bulldogs sink Sam Rayburn
The Tioga Lady Bulldog volleyball team swept Sam Rayburn, 25-17, 25-12, 25-15 at
home Friday and moved to 2-0 in district play.
Kennedy Slay led the attack with 14 kills and three aces.
Brennan Guenther had seven kills.
Kyndall Whitley and Maddison McDonald added six kills apiece.
Sadie Bates offered 24 assists, seven digs and five aces.
Bella Dennis had 18 digs.
Maddy Schon had 12 digs.
Kenzee Powers was good for 11 digs.
The win took Tioga to 23-6 on the year.
They traveled to Tom Bean Tuesday night.

The S&S Lady Ram volleyball team got swept by Gunter 25-9, 25-16, 25-16 last week at home in district play.
Brooklyn Sterling led the Ram effort with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Bella Bennett chipped in four kills.
Lana Walters had 16 digs.
The loss took S&S to 17-16 on the year and 0-5 in district.
They traveled to Howe on Friday.
The win was Gunter’s 75th consecutive district win.

The Tioga Lady Bulldog volleyball team opened district play at home last week with a 25-8, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of Trenton.
Kennedy Slay led the attack with 14 kills and five blocks.
Kyndall Whitley had six kills.
Maddison McDonald had four kills and four blocks.
Sadie Bates had 16 assists and four aces.
Kenzee Powers landed 11 digs.
Bella Dennis and Ella Norwood both had nine digs apiece.
