Local students graduated from Midwestern State University (MSU) in Wichita Falls, Texas, in August 2025. MSU had 183 undergraduate and graduate students in August 2025 with the provision that they meet all requirements as prescribed by the faculty and administration. Honor graduates receiving bachelor degrees included 25 summa cum laude, 18 magna cum laude, and 18 cum laude. Honor requirements are a grade point average of 3.9-4.0 for summa cum laude, 3.7-3.89 for magna cum laude, and 3.5-3.69 for cum laude.
Local students to graduate include Whitesboro’s Savanah Rae Hott, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Nursing RN to BSN, Summa Cum Laude; Collinsville’s Jessica Ann Grimes, who also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Nursing RN to BSN, Summa Cum Laude; and Tioga’s Jessica Rishea Barr, who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health.
