Longtime S&S Consolidated Ag Teacher Warren Maher was recently inducted into the 2025 Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (ATAT) Hall of Fame class.

Maher was recently inducted at an awards ceremony at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.

The ATAT Hall of Fame recognizes and honors agricultural science teachers whose careers, achievements and contributions stand exemplary. Inductees are known as well-rounded professionals that have proven their success with FFA activities, in the classroom, as well as community involvement.

“Without educators like Mr. Maher, ATAT and Texas FFA wouldn’t be where they are today,” said Ray Pieniazek, executive director of ATAT. “Our agriculture education teachers spend countless hours in professional development to better serve our students and prepare them for their future. We thank him for his years of service, and we honor his commitment with this Hall of Fame recognition.”

Maher was an ag educator for 30 years all at S&S Consolidated.

Among many career accomplishments, Maher was most known for Ag Mechanics. His students had several Division winners at many major shows.

Maher retired from teaching  at the end of the 2023-24  school year.
