As area school districts work to be come more competitive in teacher attraction and retention, more districts are announcing salary increases for their staff.
Just a month after Whitesboro Independent School District announced salary raises for its employees, S&S CISD announced last week that it will offer staff raises for the 2025-2026 school year.
The district’s starting salary is now $50,000 (this includes nurses, librarians and counselors).
Teachers with 0-4 years of experience will see a $4,000 salary increase, while teachers with 5+ years of experience will see an $8,000 salary increase.
Auxiliary staff, including clerical, paraprofessional, maintenance, custodial, cafeteria and transportation workers, will see a 4% salary increase this year.
Administrative and professional staff will see a 3% salary increase.
