The Whitesboro Parks and Recreation Department is now conducting registration for its youth soccer and youth volleyball leagues. The soccer league is available for children ages four to nine. The volleyball league will include two different age divisions: girls in the third and fourth grades and girls in the fifth and sixth grades. The deadline for registration for both is Friday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m.
The fee for the soccer league is $50 while the fee for volleyball is $70. There is a family discount off the total amount to be paid of $5 for two children participating or $10 for three children participating. There is also a scholarship program to assist with fees; if needed, call the PARD at 903-564-5964 to discuss scholarship availability and a payment plan. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must apply before the registration deadline. There will be no scholarships given after the deadline.
Scout days for each sport will be as follows: soccer – Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Wilson Street Soccer Complex; volleyball – Monday, Aug. 18 at Hayes Primary Gym. Times for various age divisions may be found on the department’s website.
