Several area residents were recently recognized by their respective universities for various honors, ranging from Dean’s Lists to graduations.
Whitesboro’s Andrew Chandley, Gordonville’s Mark Lasater, Pilot Point’s Rakita Payne and Sherman’s Bobby Smith were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Whitesboro’s Keely Hartless (criminology major), Collinsville’s Makenzie Jolliff (marketing major), Gainesville’s Mikayla Cain (human development & family science major) and Molly Fuhrmann (nursing major), Valley View’s Linden Miller (supply chain management major) and Jayden Pickett (public health major) and Van Alstyne’s Sergio Castillo (finance major) and Amelia Padgett (journalism major) all earned a spot on the Dean’s List at the University of Arkansas
Additionally, in May, Collinsville’s Alexis Tanguma graduated from Washburn University with a degree in integrated studies.
Whitesboro’s Angela Denise Johns and Sadler’s Laura Renee Brubaker both graduated from Midwestern State University at the conclusion of the college’s spring semester. with a Master’s in special education.
