After a catastrophic flash flood hit Kerr County last weekend, sweeping away cars and homes and resulting in a rising death toll of at least 84 people, many are looking for ways to help.
Beginning Monday at 8:30 a.m., donation boxes were made available at the Whitesboro and Gunter locations of Ship It & More. These items will be delivered directly to the Kerrville Salvation Army for distribution.
Requested items include:
- non-perishable food
- hygeine products
- diapers and baby wipes
- socks
- men’s, women’s and children’s clothing
Drop-off locations are 1020 US-377, Suite B in Whitesboro and 605 Preston Road, Suite 200 in Gunter. Hours of operation for both locations are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
“Even from miles away, we can make a difference,” a Ship It & More facebook post read on Sunday. “Thank you for helping us send care and support to those who need it most.”
