The Sadler Community Center recently received a much-needed matching grant of $2,250 from the First United Bank in Whitesboro, Gainesville and Pottsboro. Each dollar donated will be doubled, having twice the impact.

The center serves as a vital hub for the community, offering essential programs and services that improve the well-being of local residents.

Funds raised from contributions like the matching grant enable the center to provide events like quarterly blood drives; health fairs and health screenings; the annual First Responders Christmas Celebration that celebrates doctors, nurses, EMTs, police, sheriff, dispatchers and their families; and continuing education classes like karate, yoga, first aid, home safety and gun safety/CCL.

The center also rents out their space for public and private events, including homecomings, weddings, anniversaries and meetings.

With the support of the community and partnerships of local businesses, schools and faith-based organizations, the Sadler Community Center can continue to serve as a pillar of community  health and a vital connection with its residents by fostering a stronger, healthier community.
