I could not be more proud to be a Collinsville Pirate right now!
Winning and competing hard have become synonymous with Collinsville ISD. CISD has transformed into a place where people want to be, establishing itself as a top 2A district in Texas.
The TEA accountability ratings for 2023 were released last week. The district’s “what if” rating in 2022 was a D (68), but in 2023, we achieved a B (81). This marks significant improvement, but our goal remains an A rating.
In 2023, the high school UIL academic team scored 15 points at the district meet, with no individuals advancing to regionals. However, in 2025, we had 12 students qualify for regionals. In 2023, we had no speech and debate team; in 2024, which was the first year for speech and debate, our students advanced to state in both congress and CX debate. In 2025, they continued to excel, advancing in the same events and adding a state qualifier in LD debate! In 2024, CHS won the regional championship at the academic speech meet, and in 2025, finished as the second runner-up at the regional speech meet.
Athletically, we don’t lose often, but when we do, it’s to state champions. Over the last three years, the football team has reached the regional championship, facing defeat against the state champions each time.
Our girls’ basketball team has finished in the top 16 for the past two years, losing to the state champions this year in the regional semifinals.
Our volleyball team has made it to the regional semifinals each of the last two years.
Last year, our baseball team won the state championship and is looking to make a deep playoff run this year. In the two years prior, the baseball team lost to the state champions in the regional semifinals and state finals.
CHS started a cross-country program three years ago, and this year, the boys’ team competed at the state meet, finishing fifth overall.
The Mighty Pirate Marching Band is among the best in the region. Over the past two years, the marching band has been close to advancing to the state competition. The band frequently receives top marks in concert and sight reading, with several individuals advancing to state in solo and ensemble performances.
We launched the Beta Club three years ago. Each year, our students compete at the state level, with individuals advancing to Nationals.
Three years ago, we started an Advanced Placement program at the high school, allowing students to receive rigorous instruction while earning college credit accepted by prestigious universities.
All this success has led to growth at Collinsville ISD. In the 2022-2023 school year, the enrollment was 530, and this school year, we have maintained an enrollment of over 600 students.
This achievement is a result of parents allowing the staff at CISD to push their kids to high levels, along with a dedicated staff that upholds high standards and strives for student success. Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate!
