Plans are already underway for the Sadler Baptist Church’s annual “Boys with Toys” car show to be held on Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sponsored by Holiday Chevrolet, the event will take place at the church located at 419 South Main Street in Sadler.
For the past 11 years, Sadler Baptist Church has held this event (free to attend and free to enter) that provides trophies for eight classes: Military, Agriculture, Car, Motorcycle, Special Interest and Truck. There is also a special trophy for Pastor Pick. Men and women are encouraged to enter their vehicles in this fun event.
In addition to the car show, there is also a matchbox car race for the kids, in which the kids get to keep the car they race and the winner receives a trophy. Also at the event, children can enjoy a bounce house and train rides, and everyone can enjoy free water and hot dogs.
Several church members have been working diligently since February, crafting the event trophies out of car parts, electrical boxes, c-clamps, spark plugs and more. The trophies are one-of-a-kind and a great keepsake from this fun event.
Registration for the car show begins at 8:30 a.m. on June 14. There will be goodie bags for the first 50 entries.
