Election Day for municipal elections is this Saturday, May 10 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
In Whitesboro and Collinsville, there will be no election for city council as incumbents are running unopposed.
For the Whitesboro ISD School Board, there are five candidates running for two positions. Incumbents are Shannon Blake and Michael Parish are being challenged by Eddie Wood, Keri Downs and Brittany Knight. Voting will take place at Whitesboro City Hall (111 W. Main Street).
For the Collinsville ISD School Board, incumbent Jarrett Crisp is being challenged by Ronnie O’Neal, Sr. for Place 6 while incumbent Bailey Lahr is being challenged by Nancy Castorena for Place 7. Voting will take place in the main room at the Community Center (117 N. Main Street).
At S&S CISD, Brad Colwell is running unopposed for Place 2 while Cameron Fisher and Jeffrey McSpedden are facing off for Place 7.
Additionally, S&S CISD has called for a $36 million bond to include projects that address community and student body growth by adding new builds, additions and district-wide updates. (Visit www.sscisdbond.com to learn more.) Voting for S&S CISD and the bond will take place in the main room at the Southmayd Community Center (4708 Belknap).
